Camp Stella Maris is guided by a dedicated group of volunteer members of the Board of Directors. Their commitment to quality, safety and youth development take the highest priority. With a strong focus on strategic planning, these volunteers are helping to shape the future of Camp Stella Maris.

Christian M. Nadler, President - Board of Directors
Attorney, Gates and Adams, P.C.
Chris represents the next generation from the Nadler family to serve on the Camp's board.  Both his late father, Lu, and mother, Tracy, whose term recently ended, have dedicated years of service in this important volunteer role.  Chris has been both a camper and off-season retreatant at CSM.  He also is a volunteer at his parish, Assumption of our Lady in Fairport.

Kevin Aman*, Vice-President - Board of Directors
Sr. Manager, Marketing Communications, Harris Corporation
Kevin began his CSM experience in the 1980's as a camper and then counselor. He and his wife, Mary, also a CSM alumnus, are active in the CSM Alumni Association. His role on the CSM board allows Kevin an opportunity to help preserve the fundamental CSM virtues of faith, hope and trust. Kevin and his family reside in Rochester.

Pablo C. Biggs
Principle Consultant, Altreya Consulting
Pablo, whose boys have attended day camp, joined the board in 2006. With a background in strategic planning, Pablo will play a large role in helping Camp develop a strong plan for its future. He also serves on the Center Information Services Board for Al Sigl Center and the Puerto Rican Youth Development board.

Nora Bradbury-Haehl
Director of Youth Ministry, St Paul's Church
Nora, whose daughter attends camp, has brought her youth groups to CSM for nearly 20 years. Nora's family attends St Paul's in Webster. Nora's experience as a parish youth minister will help CSM connect to youth ministry and parishes in new ways. Her experience working with young people from the inner city will be very valuable in setting new directions and reaching out to new populations. Nora joined the board in 2010.

Flor Colon
Senior Counsel, Xerox
Flor has vast experience on local non-profit boards, including Catholic Charities, Volunteer Legal Services of Monroe County and The Children's Agenda. She is eager to help ensure a positive, values-based experience for area children, recalling her own childhood camp experience and the incredible impression it left on her. Flor is a parishioner at Church of the Transfiguration. Her daughter is a CSM camper!

Christine D'Amico
Vice-President, Organizational Development, Rochester General Health System
Christine is new to the CSM board in 2009. She and her husband Mark and their 3 daughters reside in Fairport . Volunteering on the CSM board is a something that aligns to Christine's passion to be a part of preserving a safe, spiritual and developmental experience for children- what CSM is all about! Christine's daughters are CSM campers.

Daniel Dey, Immediate Past President- Board of Directors
Executive Director, Nothern Oswego County Health Services, Inc.
Dan is a parishioner at the Church of the Transfiguration in Pittsford. His two daughters are campers, and Dan is excited to lend his expertise to the Camp. Dan is past president of the Rochester Rotary Club and has served on several other community and professional committees and boards.

Kevin Fitzpatrick*, Treasurer - Board of Directors
Executive Director, Eastside Family YMCA
Kevin was a CSM camper in the 1970s and a summer counselor in the 1980s. His children have attended Camp for several years, and Kevin and his family have remained active in the Camp's ongoing growth. Kevin and his family reside in Penfield and are members of St. Joseph's.

Cathy Gueli, Vice President - Board of Directors
Product Manager, Xerox
Cathy has a long history with CSM, having been a camper in the 1970s and now the parent of campers. Her enthusiasm for joining the CSM board is noteworthy, and she is eager to help ensure CSM maintains its commitment to its mission and to our Catholic faith. Cathy and her sons are parishioners at Church of the Transfiguration.

Paula Lunn
Academic Intervention Services Specialist, Rochester City School District(retired)
Paula's two children both attended Camp. In recent years, Paula has offered the StarPaks Camper Care Package program to current camp families, donating the proceeds to the Campership Fund. Her strong belief in the Camp's mission and positive outcomes of the camp experience fuel her enthusiasm for board service. Paula's expertise in the youth development arena will play a key role in future programming and experiences for our campers.

Kathy has two daughters that have attended CSM both as campers and as counselors.  Kathy has been actively involved in several youth-oriented organizations and she feels the unique environment at CSM provides children with unforgettable experiences.  She also has a strong background in finance and strategic development that allows her to actively participate in the development of CSM's future.  Kathy's family resides in Webster and are members of St. Paul's Church.

Fr. Ed Palumbos*
Pastor of Church of the Assumption
Fr. Ed, a former camper(1954) and counselor (1965-1969), brings his pastoral experience to the board. He has come to CSM in the past few years to preside at Eucharist with the campers and staff. Fr. Ed has served on many Diocesan boards and committees. He feels his years at CSM were an important part of his personal and professional development and wants to pass that on.

 

Christopher Parks*
Dean, McQuaid Jesuit High School
Chris, a former camper,has vast experience in the youth development arena through his work at McQuaid. He believes in the CSM experience and looks forward to being part of the Camp's future. Chris lives in Rochester with his family.

Kostas Peters
President and CEO, Parcus Associates
Kostas brings vast experience in marketing to the CSM board. In his spare time, Kostas volunteers at his children's school and is a youth soccer coach. He also serves on the board of the Small Business Council and Leadership Rochester. Kostas and his family are members of St. Joseph's in Penfield.

Aqua Porter
Vice-President, Strategic Projects & Business Results, Xerox
Aqua's son has attended summer camp and winter camp for many years. Aqua brings extensive experience in all phases of product development and delivery. She also serves on the board of the Keuka College Board of Trustees and Board of Trustees at Eltrex Industries, Inc. She has a passion for working with youth and meeting, working with and just being around people.

Lynette Saenz*
Associate Director of Research & Publications, Instituto Fe y Vida
Lynette, a parishioner at Good Shepherd in Henrietta, recently moved back to the Rochester area with her husband. She has over ten years of ministry experience at the parish, diocesan and national levels. Lynette has fond memories of her own camp experiences and she is anxious to apply her knowledge and experience to support the mission of CSM.

Al has been involved in CSM since 1976 - first as a counselor as well as 4 terms on the Board of Directors. He has served as Treasurer and President. Al's 2 children were campers and his daughter is a counselor. Al hopes his experience in accounting, operations, and facilities will be helpful to guide CSM's future. He has a special place in his heart for CSM and looks forward to working with his fellow board members to keep the vision of CSM moving forward. Al and his family reside in Webster where they are active members of St Rita's Parish.

Alicia Smith*
Alicia, a parishioner at St. Rita's church in Webster, was a camper from 1977 through 1983 and completed the LIT program. She has vast experience in management and marketing and is now a stay-at-home mom. Alicia has a strong desire to give back to the Camp to ensure it's successful future for generations to come.
